In this a set of a necklace and a bracelet, I depict a cultural symbol, a beautiful Japanese crane. For Japanese, “Crane” means “ Red-crested white crane”. Crane is an important cultural figure representing happiness and long life. The color of the crane, red and white are the celebration colors in Japan. Beside the crane there is a circle object having two sides. The white side represents the moon and the other red side represents the Sun. In winter, they fly gracefully from the north, and people pray to the new year sun for a happy, hopeful year brought by cranes. |
